About the Position

Key Responsibilities

The role of the Client Operations Data Analyst is to work closely with the Client Groups and RFP team providing data, holdings and reporting globally.

Core duties to achieve responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate and produce within set timeframes, data for client presentations, RFP's and regular and ad-hoc reporting
  • Improve and manage large datasets
  • Data analysis for the streamlining and improving the data process provided to stakeholders and external agencies
  • Manage the global disclosure policy in the business best interest and control appropriate look through reporting, by ensuring necessary approvals and signed NDAs are in place
  • Compile fund annexes to Client Groups quarterly
  • Work and maintain relationships with data vendors, and help to assess the feasibility or benefit of new data provider offerings
  • Use initiative to continually develop systems and procedures with a view to risk reduction, identify efficiencies in process and accommodate change to strategies, client demands, or in response to industry change
  • Managing the various key stakeholders and external vendors/third party providers to ensure data is delivered in a timely and accurate manner
  • Quality assurance of data provided to stakeholders and external vendors/third party providers, and investigate and resolve data issues when required
  • Requires a close working relationship with the portfolio managers, client directors, product team, marketing, external agencies and IT
  • Back up to team members data delivery requirements

Person Specification

Technical Knowledge and Experience

  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • 3-5 years financial services experience required, Asset Management industry preferred
  • Must have prior experience of data reporting and analysis, and managing the end to end process for data reporting delivery
  • Must have experience managing external vendors

Systems Skills

  • MS Excel (intermediate/advanced level) specifically manipulating data using pivots, formulas and chart building
  • MS PowerPoint
